Interested in joining us? We have high standards and minimum qualifications you must meet. Please read up below on the qualifications to apply to the crew. If you meet these qualificationss, and/or are willing to work to get the necessary training to meet them, please reach out and connect with us via our contact page for further details on what it takes to be a member of Wieser Wildland Firefighters INC.
MEMBERSHIP: Members must be 18 years or older and meet the other requirements as defined below
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: Members must have successfully completed the following training/courses: PA-130 - Basic Wildland Firefighter, S-190 - Introduction to Wildland Fire Behavior, ICS-100 - Introduction to Incident Command System, IS-700 - National Incident Management System
ANNUAL REQUIREMENTS: Members must annually complet RT-130 - Annual Fireline Safety Refresher. Members must successfully complete/pass a district administered Moderate pack test – 2 mile hike with 25 pound pack in 30 minutes.

As a member of Weiser Wildland Firefighters Inc, you will have the honor of serving your community as well as surrounding communities all over the state of Pennsylvania. Additionally, all members have the opportunity to meet and work with other highly trained, motivated, and enthusiastic Wildland firefighters, and interact with numerous local, state, and national Forestry organizations.
